5th Bioinformatics & Complex Networks Retreat
The 5th Summer Retreat on Bioinformatics and Complex Networks is a one-week meeting that brings together researchers for scientific talks and workshops within a collaborative network spanning biological, computational, and mathematical research.

The program features 20-minute talks, 10-minute contributed presentations, and 2-hour workshops, fostering interaction among participants at different career stages. In addition to the scientific program, the retreat includes cultural and recreational activities.
The event is organized by the Bioinformatics and Complex Networks group at Cinvestav Irapuato, in collaboration with the Department of Chemical and Biological Sciences at the Unit of Environmental Genomics, UDLAP.

Venue
The retreat will take place in the main auditorium of UDLAP.

Recreational Activities
Cholula is a city of deep pre-Hispanic origin. Participants will visit the Great Pyramid, crowned by the Catholic temple Santuario de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, and explore its underground tunnels, which preserve traces of ancient migrations from the mythical Aztlán.
For a nature experience, the program includes a hike to Cerro Zapotecas (Mirador Zapo), offering panoramic views of the valley and surrounding volcanoes.
The retreat will also provide opportunities to experience local culinary traditions, highlighting regional specialties and the cultural identity of the area.
Accommodation
Participants will be accommodated at Hotel Xelhua, located approximately a 15-minute walk from the venue. The hotel provides a comfortable setting conducive to scientific discussion and informal interaction among participants.
